Employee conduct is the term used to describe how an employee will perform or their willingness to perform as compared to how they can perform. “Can perform” relates to the abilities to do the job. There must be a desire to succeed by displaying a willingness to cooperate, follow instructions and display a positive attitude.
Conduct issues involve job behaviour where the employee is willing (vs. unwilling) to accept what we expect of them and act accordingly. Examples may include: negligence, insubordination, poor attitude, not following expressed procedures, etc.

ABSENTEEISM / ATTENDANCE MANAGEMENT CONSULTING
Employee absenteeism is usually a symptom of other problems.
Absenteeism tends to increase when:
- Jobs are boring.
- Poor communication/morale.
- Employees are under-utilized or not suited to the job.
- Work loads are excessive.
Absence trends and the total time lost are serious costs to an organization – both in terms of lost productivity and the cost of sick leave benefits. Estimates show the real business cost of a sick day is twice the salary paid.
